Very very good food. Lupita is the sweetest

Food tasted great but service was extremely slow and lacking. There only appeared to be two people working; one cook, and one waitress/busser/cleaner/dishwasher. There were dirty dishes piled up all over and the place looked very unsanitary.

It's a small Mom and pops Mexican restaurant with good pricing and decent food.

Authentic flavor for me no disappointment

This place was very dirty inside. Doesn’t look like it’s ever been cleaned in there. The salt and pepper shaker was super dirty the mirrors at the bar have never been washed. Bottom of the chairs very dirty. It appeared to have debris on the wall. Very unsanitary. I was looking forward to eating there, but even behind the bar was really gross. The counter was covered in stuff the cabinets were really dirty. And the people came from the bathroom and washed their hands very vaguely. It’s also in the ghetto.

3/11/2020 my food was sitting on the counter about 5mins before they gave it to me and some of the chips in my nachos were stale....I will never go there again....DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Excellent and authentic Mexican food. The corn tortillas are hand made and the food is always hot.

The food is amazing! Tender, juicy, melt in your mouth meats. Spicy and flavorful homemade hot sauce! (Ask for it! It's green, full of flavor, and everything you want to spice up your food!). Perfectly cooked soft rice! It's a well loved small spot with a good amount of tables and counter seats. Very friendly service and food was quick. Cozy and authentic! We will be back!

Go...Run...Go...Authentic real family style food & hospitality. Clean & complying with CDC/Covid guidelines...they even have sanitizer afixed to every table. Family owned & operated. Lupita is actually in the kitchen making your mexican feast with love.

They say the best Mexican restaurants are the little hole in the walls, this place is that. Amazing friendly service with great tasting good. That California is worth driving 50 miles for if you have to. Prices are very reasonable. I love Lupitas!!!

Food is fresh and authentic not like the Napolera

Grea6 authentic Mexican food with a cozy environment.

Came in for the first time today. I knew when after five steps into the door it was authentic. The aroma, the decor, the sincerity and genuine kindness of Lupita. We ordered dinner combinations and they were delicious, well-presented, full portions. Relaxed atmosphere, with a real taste of Mexican cuisine!

Really nice people. The food lacks seasoning it was basic a not memorable. The horchata was goo and the chips were fresh.

I lived in Texas for a good portion of my childhood and I had Mexican food at least once a week. I’m very picky when it comes to Mexican food and I’ll only eat it if it’s authentic. With that being said, the food at Lupita’s was amazing. I ordered steak fajitas and as soon as they were delivered to my table, all eyes were on my plate. Someone came in to pick up a to go order and ended up adding steak fajitas to their order because mine looked and smelled so good! The customer service was excellent and the food speaks for itself. I will DEFINITELY be returning!

Great food great service. Lupita herself talked with me to help me decide on my entree. I decided on the Texan burrito, a monster filled with beef fajita,chicken, shrimp, beans, rice,lettuce,bell pepper, and cheese. Delicious!

Wish i could have given them a 4.5. I have been to 5 other Mexican restaurants in the area... this is the BEST one i have been to in. It is very authentic Mexican food. I went on a Friday evening had a great plate of traditional pork tacos. It was so good i went back for Saturday lunch and had their fajitas. I nice pile of shrimp, chicken & steak w/ peppers & onions. More than enough for me to eat. I was fully stuffed. I am planning to go back again in the next 4 days. Only place in Jacksonville that i feel that strong about. The only (me being over critical) not positive thing was the salsa. This seems to be an issue with all Mexican restaurants in Jacksonville. It was okay at best. BUT over all i LOVE this place. Worth going to, again, again & again

Great place, love the authentic tacos!

Mediocre flavor. It looks like it's just a small family running the restaurant. While I can appreciate that, the wait to be served and for food to get there was too long for there being only two other tables occupied. The food was kind of bland. The cheese dip was too cold and had no spice to it. The same with the tacos. The chips tasted stale and cold. I wish them luck but I wasn't impressed. The only positive was the price. Two tacos, chips, cheese, and drink were under $10.

Authentic for sure; I have been used to Fast Food so this way a treat.

OMG....This was our first time there and they did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the amount you get is amazing and the service was great.We will definitely be going back.

the facility is a little run-down, but don't let that fool you! The food is excellent! It reminds me of home cooked food that I would get from my neighbors growing up. You can't get more authentic than Mom's kitchen.

Came here with coworkers for lunch. The food was amazing, reasonably priced, and made fresh. I had barbacoa tacos which were very flavorful and soft. The restaurant is family owned and they were so personable and polite. I will definitely come here again!

Excellent service, fair prices and delicious foods in big portions. Definitely an authentic hole in the wall vibe. If you want a real taste of Mexican food I would stop here before some big chain company.

I'm from California so I know what good Mexican food is supposed to taste like. After reading all the positive reviews I had high hopes for this restaurant but I have to say it was just ok. I got the chicken fajitas and in my opinion the vegetables were a little overcooked, chicken didn't have much flavor . I got my order to go and when I got home I also realized that it didn't come with line slices like chicken fajitas normally do and that meant even less flavor on the chicken. Salsa was ok but to much like a tomato sauce consistency and flavor. Portion size was decent.

The place looks very small from the outside. It has a good number of tables tho. The service was good, but not enough servers for a big group. The food was okay. The place is clean but a bit run down.

Used to be great, but they've gone way downhill. I feel really ripped off. Not only was my food wrong, and they insisted it was right, but the only food with any seasoning was the salsa. I will never be going back, and I used to eat here a lot. This doesn't even taste like Mexican food. Now there's no reason to miss living in Arlington.

I walked in and there is nobody available to help me. Not a very friendly or welcoming place. I will take my money where it is appreciated and where people actually take care of customers. Not a good look and horridly unprofessional!

Truly one of Jacksonville‘s best kept secrets! If you know what authentic Mexican food is and then you want to come here. I go to every Mexican restaurant I come across and this one is my favorite. Are usually get the fajita quesadilla, but I have tried many things in this restaurant as I have been coming here for three years. I highly recommend it. Chips are crispy and fresh and made fresh every day and perhaps more than once a day depending on business. It is a family owned mom and Pop restaurant. Service is great the mom and Pop are very friendly and accommodating. I just can’t say enough good things about this restaurant!!

First time out of town visit, good was very good. Took a little time but worth it.
